We checked 6 places to buy a Christmas tree near Bishop's Stortford, from Alsa Wood Farm to home delivery, for 2026 dates and prices. Updated November 2026.

There are six places to buy a real Christmas tree for a Bishop’s Stortford home in 2026, and this guide puts them in one place with opening dates, prices and delivery. Most people will land on Alsa Wood Farm at Stansted Mountfitchet, the nearest grower, where you choose a tree in the field and have it cut; Christmas Wrapped Up near Dunmow, which is already open; and Jacksons Nurseries, which delivers across Hertfordshire and Uttlesford. Every entry was checked against the seller’s own website on 8 November 2026.

There is no tree farm or pop-up pitch in the town itself with 2026 dates online, so five of the six are farms a short drive away and one delivers.

Prices for a tree of about 6ft

It now grows its own Nordmann firs and Norway spruces, and every November turns its grain store into the Christmas Tree Barn so trees are chosen under cover.

Sawn trees run from a 1m Norway spruce to a 3m Nordmann, the most popular being a 2m Nordmann, and pot-grown trees are about 1m. It is the longest drive here, about half an hour east along the A120, and the farm names Bishop’s Stortford among the towns within easy reach.

How we chose

We looked for growers with 2026 information within about half an hour’s drive of Bishop’s Stortford, Sawbridgeworth and Stansted, and for firms that deliver to CM23 and CM21, and kept the ones whose own websites carry their dates, trees and contact details. Hatfield Christmas Trees is not here because its site still describes its 2025 season.
